Submit talks for EPSS seminar series (Colloquium, Planetary, Geology/Geophysics, Geochemistry, Space Physics, IPLEX, Geology, PhD Defense) through db.epss.ucla.edu or the public form.
After staff approve a submission, it posts to epss.ucla.edu and the matching Google Calendar.

Public form (anyone with the link)
- Open db.epss.ucla.edu/seminars/public/form (or the link your organizer shared).
- Choose the seminar series, quarter, and academic year.
- Enter speaker, title, date/time, abstract, and your contact info.
- Submit. Organizers and Communications are emailed automatically.
- After staff approve, the talk posts to epss.ucla.edu and the matching Google Calendar.

From the EPSS database (seminar submitters)
- Sign in at db.epss.ucla.edu with your UCLA AD account.
- Open Seminars in the sidebar (requires the seminar_submitter role — ask an ADUM admin to assign it).
- Use Copy Form Link / Preview for the public form, or Bulk Add for CSV.
- You can browse submissions; approval stays with Communications / Admin.

Bulk CSV upload
- Download the template from Seminars → Bulk Add (or /api/seminars/public/bulk-template).
- Fill one row per talk. Required columns include
seminarType,quarter,academicYear, speaker fields,eventTitle,eventAbstract, and organizer fields. - Optional:
eventDurationMinutes, colloquium room/website, meeting link, notes. - Use quotes around fields that contain commas. Max 25 rows per upload.
- Upload via Bulk Add in ADUM or the public bulk endpoint.
Valid seminarType values: colloquium, planetary, geophysics, geochemistry, space_physics, iplex, geology, phd_defense.

After approval
- WordPress seminar post on epss.ucla.edu
- Google Calendar event on the series calendar
- Optional: checkbox Also email everyone@epss.ucla.edu on approve

Seminar calendar (public)
Browse all series at epss.ucla.edu/seminar-calendar. Use the calendar toggles to show or hide each series.
Under Seminars in the public site menu: Seminar Calendar, All Seminars, Colloquium, Space Physics, Geology/Geophysics Seminar, Planetary Seminar, Geochemistry, PhD Defense, Special Seminars, Seminars Archive.
