EPSS DocuSign Quick Guide

This guide walks you through logging in to DocuSign with your UCLA department email, completing UCLA Single Sign-On, and finding documents that need your signature or review.

Estimated time: 2 minutes to sign in, 1–5 minutes per document.

Open DocuSign

Open Google Chrome and go to account.docusign.com. You will see the DocuSign login page.

What to do:

  1. Enter your UCLA department email address.
  2. Click NEXT.
Tip: Use your UCLA department email (for example, name@epss.ucla.edu) — not a personal Gmail or Yahoo address. DocuSign uses this to route you to UCLA Single Sign-On.

UCLA Single Sign-On

After clicking NEXT, DocuSign redirects you to the UCLA Login page.

What to do:

  1. Enter your UCLA Logon ID.
  2. Enter your UCLA password.
  3. Complete Duo authentication when prompted.
  4. Click Login.

DocuSign Home Page

After successful login, you arrive at the DocuSign Home page. The dashboard groups your documents into four tiles:

  • Action Required — documents waiting for your signature or approval.
  • Waiting for Others — documents you have already signed that are waiting on someone else.
  • Expiring Soon — documents that need attention before they expire.
  • Completed — documents that have been fully processed.

Review documents requiring action

If the Action Required tile shows a number greater than zero:

  1. Click Action Required.
  2. Select the document you need to review.
  3. Read the document carefully before signing.

Sign the document

When the document opens:

  1. Click the yellow Start button, if shown.
  2. Step through each required field in turn.
  3. Click each Sign tag where prompted.
  4. Adopt or confirm your signature the first time you are asked.
  5. Continue until every required field is complete.
Tip: DocuSign hides the Finish button until every required field is filled in. If you don’t see it yet, look for a yellow arrow on the left side that jumps you to the next unfilled field.

Finish

After reviewing and signing:

  1. Click Finish.
  2. Wait for the confirmation message.
  3. The document moves from Action Required to Completed.

Download a completed document

To save a copy for your records:

  1. Open the Completed tile.
  2. Find the document and click Download on the right.
  3. Save the PDF to your computer.

Troubleshooting

I cannot log in
  • Confirm you are using your UCLA department email, not a personal address.
  • Re-enter your UCLA Logon ID and password carefully — both are case sensitive.
  • Complete the Duo prompt on your phone or hardware token.
  • If Duo never arrives, open accounts.iam.ucla.edu to verify your Duo enrollment.
I do not see my document
  • Open the Action Required tile — it may not be on the home page summary.
  • Refresh the page ( + R on Mac, Ctrl + R on Windows).
  • Confirm with the sender that the envelope was sent to the correct email address.
  • Check your email for a DocuSign notification — it sometimes lands in Spam or Promotions.
